Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka (Remote)

What would you do at Axon Systems?

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, automate, and optimize our infrastructure on Azure. You’ll ensure HealthSync’s cloud-native systems are reliable, secure, and scalable across production and development environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and deployment workflows.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and observability across environments.
  • Monitor performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement proactive optimizations.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices in healthcare data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with backend/frontend engineers to support efficient delivery cycles.
Who we’re looking for
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform or Azure Bicep.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, logging/monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), and versioned deployments.
  • Experience in managing production environments and incident response.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take ownership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
