A Reflection from the Founders After the Official Launch

On May 2nd, as we stood on stage for the official launch of HealthSync, we weren’t just introducing an app; we were answering a question we’ve asked ourselves for years: Why is managing our health so difficult?

The energy in the room confirmed what we already knew – Sri Lankans are tired of fragmented records. As founders, this wasn’t just a product launch; it was the culmination of late nights spent solving a problem that affects every household in our country.

1. Your Health Timeline: No More Paper Trails

We’ve all been there- sitting in a consultant’s office, frantically searching through a plastic folder for a blood report from six months ago.

General cloud storage (like Google Drive) doesn’t work for health because it lacks context. We built the Health Timeline to solve this. It’s a dedicated, searchable history where:

• Lab reports, prescriptions, and scans are organized chronologically.
• Discharge summaries and consultation notes are instantly accessible.
• Instead of digging through filenames, you simply scroll through your health journey.

Healthcare shouldn’t feel like a filing chore; it should be a connected story.

2. Managing the “Family Unit”

In Sri Lanka, healthcare is a family affair. Most of us are responsible for the well-being of our elderly parents, our children, and our spouses. Missing one report can lead to delayed treatment or expensive, redundant tests.

With Family Profiles, we’ve made it possible to manage multiple records from one device. But we know health data is sensitive, so we built it on a foundation of Consent and Control:

• Permission-based: No one gets access automatically.
• Transparent: Every view or update is logged.
• Revocable: You can remove access at any time.

3. From Storage to Insights

HealthSync is more than a digital filing cabinet. We believe your records should work for you. Over time, your data begins to show trends and patterns that are invisible in isolated paper reports.

By integrating AI-powered report analysis, HealthSync helps transform disconnected PDFs and photos into meaningful understanding, allowing you and your doctor to see the bigger picture of your long-term health.

What made the launch emotional for us was the “why” behind every feature. We designed this based on real local frustrations – from the parent carrying a heavy file to the clinic, to the patient trying to explain their medical history to a new specialist from memory.
