Each HealthSync account includes built-in privacy and permission controls to help ensure your records are accessed only by the right people.

Default User Role #

When you create a HealthSync account, you are automatically assigned the Patient User role.

This role allows you to:

• Upload and manage your own health records
• View and organize documents
• Use the AI Report Analyzer
• Manage family member profiles
• Share records securely with healthcare providers
• Control privacy and visibility settings

The Patient User role is the standard role used for all personal HealthSync accounts.

Family Member Profiles #

HealthSync allows you to manage health records for family members such as:

• Children
• Parents
• Dependents
• Other household members

When adding a family member, you become the primary account owner responsible for managing their records and permissions.

You can:

• Upload records on their behalf
• View and organize their documents
• Switch between family profiles
• Control visibility and sharing settings

Privacy & Visibility Controls #

HealthSync gives you control over who can access your documents.

Each uploaded document includes a Visibility setting.

By default, documents are set to: Only Me

This means:

• Only you can view the document
• Family members cannot access it

You may update visibility settings later depending on your sharing preferences.

Secure Record Sharing #

HealthSync allows you to securely share records with healthcare providers or other users when needed.

You control:

• Which records are shared
• Who can access them
• How long access remains available

This ensures your health data stays private and under your control.

Activity Log & Audit Tracking #

For security and transparency, HealthSync tracks important account activities.

You can view your activity history under:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Activity Log

The Activity Log records actions such as:

• Login activity
• Document uploads
• Document updates
• Record sharing actions
• Permission changes
• Security-related activities

This helps you monitor how your account and records are being used.
